Trash & Recycling
Trash pick up
service is provided by a standard collection company, not by the RCA. The RCA
contracts with a service company to get a reduced group rate for the homeowners
in Radisson. This service is paid for by a portion of your annual assessment
fee. Please contact Dependable Disposal directly with questions, missed
pickup or additional service requests. 472-7455 or online at dependable-disposal.com.
Each week, trash and recyclables are picked up using a
specially designed truck that separates the items internally. Containers
should be put curbside no later than 6AM on your scheduled pickup day, but no sooner than the night prior. Check the schedule to see on which day your street is serviced.
Beginning October 1, 2015 Radisson homeowners will use totes from the collection company, one each for trash and recycling. Black lids indicate trash, yellow are used for recycling. These totes are specifically designed to make collection easy, clean and convenient. The integrated lids eliminate blowing of trash and papers on windy days and help prevent critters. Bulk items that cannot be bagged, including
but not limited to, furniture, appliances, and construction debris, require
special handling. Additional fees may apply, please call Dependable
Disposal for details 315-472-7455.
Recyclables do NOT need to be separated before collection. Mix all your appropriate papers, plastics and metals in the same tote! Onondaga County operates a
comprehensive website to answer any recycling questions you may have. Go
to www.OCRRA.org or call 453-2866. Click to view or print a Recycling Reference Guide.
There are only 6 holidays that potentially delay trash and
recycling service. If any of the following holidays fall on a Monday, Tuesday
or Wednesday, service will be one day later than usual.
